"Frosted" (frostedbuns)

Some of you may remember that I've been in the market for a new used car with low miles and relatively new model year (2010 or newer). I was so set on a Mazda 3 but none of them were good enough. Most were repainted and still scratched to hell with 50k miles and price tags of 15 grand (before shitty fees). I looked at one today though that was good. It was repainted but you couldn't easily see it. Fully loaded Touring model. 14,991 was the price. Dealer came back with fees and crap that added up to 20 grand. I walked out before someone got punched. Found myself at Bell Mitsubishi which is a wonderful dealership and I encourage anyone in NJ to go there if you want good service. Salesman left us alone while my father and I looked. Got an idea of what I wanted and left to do some research. Came back an hour later, took the car I wanted on a test drive and about 2 hours later I was holding the keys to my new car. A 2010 Nissan Cube. 29000 miles, in far better shape than any Mazda I saw for 12,495. Even got a loyalty discount because my brother had bought from them before (All cars are advertised with the loyalty in the price, it's removed later on. Nothing hidden or shady.)
Push button startup, rearview camera, sweet gauges, dark brown/black interior, white exterior. This car looks like it was picked up off a street in Japan and plopped down here in the States. And I love. Excellent handling for its class. Very spacious. Not the quickest thing but it's MUCH more enjoyable to drive than my Volvo was.
Picture time!
Here's my Cube in front of my fathers xB:
You could say my family likes FWD boxes on wheels.
So yea, it finally happened. And I couldn't be happier. OF HAPPENINGS!...?

I don't mean to sound like a dick, but what exactly made you choose the Cube?

The ride was smooth, the interior on this model is really nice/not cheap like most Nissans, lots of options. It's a nicer car than a similarly priced Mazda 3/Elantra/Forte like I was looking out. Great sound system as well. Plus it didn't have the beige interior like most Cubes have. And it was the right color. And the price was excellent.

Now you need a white Soul to square-out the box bunch.

Fair enough. I've never spent time in one before so I know close to nothing about them.
Hopefully you enjoy it! BTW I do like the color a lot.
Write up a review for us!

That's what I was going to ask. I test drove one- mostly out of sheer morbid curiosity- back in 2010, and it was horrifying on the some of the more bendy roads in North Carolina.
The one I drove, at least, felt like the steering wheel wasn't even connected to...well...anything.

You and doug should start a club called OCD (Oppo Cube Drivers)
*Just kidding, nice car!
It's fun to drive and fun to look at as well. Get a matching diecast as well!

I always wondered if the left rear pillar created a blind spot but from the photo it doesn't look to intrusive. Am I the only one who thinks those wheels would look good in a early Datsun z. They look almost like the live wheels from long ago.

Because he too, hopes one day to cruise the streets of atlanta in a 360 Modena in a pink dress shirt, yachting shorts, and reef flip-flops , with some absurd lisp that sounds like gay kermit the frog (DOUG DEMURO)

They're shockingly nice. Nissan isn't really known for great interiors, especially on cheaper cars but this Cube is a very nice, probably because it's a more upscale model. Thank you! I shall next week once I get better acquainted with it!

Manual? It looks nice, I'm liking the wheels. Very Jdm Yo.

Nah, automatic. CVT really (I'm a bit MPG conscious and a CVT gets the best MPGs in a Cube). I've got aftermarket wheels that would fit but I'm gonna have to debate putting them on as I do like these quite a bit. As a JDM car lover, this car is wonderful to me. Nothing looks this Japanese and is sold here in the States.

Yessir, the Cvt is the more economical choice. I understand that.
It's the most JDM thing on the Us market probably.

Congrats...I'm a sucker for little cars that have a JDM style to them. That is why I like the Fit so much. Since many of my deals are in NJ I'll be sure to keep Bell Mitsubishi in mind.

I'm a big fan of the 2015 Fit styling but my Volvo sold a lot sooner than anticipated so the hunt for a car sped up a little. This thing was the perfect price in better condition than a lot of cars for the same or more than my budget price of 15k.

Probably the only Nissan I would consider buying. Mainly because it looks a lot like my dog- but they seem fun, too.
